The market boasts 2 fine café's each offering a fantastic menu at really great prices and a relaxed atmosphere, where you can sit and watch the world go by.

The market is open from Monday to Saturday (excluding bank holidays) from 9.00am till 5.00pm.


Lancaster Charter MarketThe Festival Market is situated on Morecambe's Promenade and enjoys stunning views over Morecambe Bay towards the Cumbrian Hills - you can see many interesting sights such as the Tern Project, Poem Path and the legendary Eric Morecambe Statue. Just a stone's throw away from the Winter Gardens, Art Deco Midland Hotel, Cinema and Bowling Alley the Festival Market is traditionally an outdoor but covered Market with 108 stalls and shops including a diverse choice of competitively priced goods from Cauliflowers to Cushion Covers, Bedding to Bags and Shirts to Sausages - including 2 cafes.

The Market is easily accessible with a nearby cycle path, train and bus stations and a large adjoining car park for customers to stagger back to with their bags of bargains! Our well established traders care about their customers and are always happy to offer advice on the goods they sell - so come and visit us for a great day out and "Bargains by the Sea" Open Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday from 9.00 - 5.00 (4.30 winter) and all Bank Holidays from Easter to August.


Lancaster Assembly RoomsLancasters Charter Market - an outdoor market which can be found in the town centre in the shadow of many of Lancaster's finest and historic buildings. The market is operated every Wednesday and Saturday complemented by a very popular Farmers Market every 2nd Saturday in the month.

Twice a year, in May and November, Market Square and Market Street will be home to a fabulous Continental Market with many fine stalls from France, Germany, Italy, Holland and of course the UK. They offer a unique shopping experience and is one which you definitely must see.

For period and retro clothing, costume hire, antiques and collectibles, Goth and alternative fashion accessories, pop memorabilia and much more, you must visit the Assembly Rooms Market situated on King Street, next to Crows Restauruant.

This market is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10.00am to 4.30pm and also has its own café , The Cosy Corner for fine food at exceptional prices.
